WHAT WILL MEDIATION COST ME?
The fees for attending mediation are far outweighed by the costs involved in going to court. Mediation is often the most cost-effective and quickest way to reach an agreement. It allows parties to find their own tailor-made resolution avoiding long and expensive legal proceedings.

For in-person mediation a room hire fee is applicable. Prices range between approximately $300-$500 depending on the location and whether your mediation is for a half-day or a full-day (shared between the parties unless otherwise agreed).
Deposit details:

A deposit of $200 (incl. GST) per party is required within 7 days of confirmation of the mediation date. If the parties agree that one party is paying all of the mediation fees a deposit of $400 (incl. GST) is required from that party.
Booking requirements:

Full payment for any mediation session is required at the latest 48 hours prior to the mediation date.

Deposits are deducted from the final fee.

Deposits will be forfeited if the mediation is cancelled less than 5 days before the scheduled date unless another mediation time is booked.

Full payment is required for any of the following prior to the service being provided: issuing of invitation to mediate to other party, pre-mediation intake session, issuing of section 60I certificate.
